welcome to my blog, I hope you have a lovely time here.

♥ coconut oil has a natural antibacterial effect and is very nourishing on your skin
♥ baking soda adsorbs underarm odour beautifully (use less baking soda if you have sensitive skin)
♥ arrowroot has a silky smooth texture and combines the mixture nicely (replace with cornflour if you like)
♥ essential oils – choose oils that are antibacterial & are odour busting like lavender, tea-tree, eucalyptus, peppermint & balance it out with some lemon or orange. You could also add patchouli for super yummyness
♥ add shea butter & bees wax if you want a more solid mixture – follow method 2 for this
4-5 dessert spoons of coconut oil
2 heaped teaspoons of baking soda
2 heaped teaspoons of arrowroot (you can replace this with cornflour if you have no arrowroot)
Mix all together in a bowl and add in your essential oils 10 – 15 drops of your chosen flavours
Pour into a glass jar and leave to set
This mixture works beautifully but it may melt in your bathroom in the warmer months in Australia, making it a bit harder to apply. So you may want to keep it in the fridge during the warmer months and scoop it out with a spoon to apply.
2 teaspoons of beeswax (pellets)
2 dessert spoons of shea butter
4 dessert spoons of coconut oil
2 heaped teaspoons of arrowroot
2 heaped teaspoons of baking soda 10 – 15 drops of essential oil
Melt down your bees wax in your double boiler, remove from heat & add shea butter & coconut oil. Stir until combined. Add in arrowroot & baking soda then your essential oils. Pour into a glass jar and leave to set.
You are good to go!
Most of all have fun! Play around with your ingredients, you can even make deodorant sticks or sprays. You can play with the thickness of the mixture by adding more bees wax. There is so much to do with these wonderful ingredients, but hopefully this will get you on your way. Love Anna x
