Ahhh thanks so much for clicking on this link! I have built my wee business Pixie Rouge Photography up from big dreams & loads of hard work. I mainly photograph families, newborns & weddings in an extremely lifestyle / bohemian fashion. I also photograph small business, products & events - Im oh so lucky! I also provide a videography service through Pale Forest Films, my wonderful husband Sean’s film company. He beautifully films weddings, families, newborns & commercial ventures with me, so we make quite the team.
Volunteering at NICU
One thing Id love to mention - our daughter Frankie was born 5 weeks prem and we spent 2 weeks in the Royal Womens NICU ward, they were amazing there, we were completely blown away by the love & care we received in the ward - I’d always wanted to volunteer somewhere and thought I would with the Children Cancer Foundation as I had cancer when I was 15. But when we spent time in NICU, my decision to volunteer there was easy. So I contacted the hospital any way I could - for a year 😅asking if I could volunteer at the ward photographing the families and giving them albums for free - because I can, it was a delicate request I was making and took it took time for my idea to manifest ❤️I finally made that happen after gentle persuasion. I am so glad to say I have been volunteering at The Royal Womens Hospital for almost a year now, I have photographed over 80 beautiful families and given them all a big gallery of love, for free! Because I can. My experience there has been the most heartwarming & humbling project I have ever ventured on, all the love for NICU, the families I have met there and The Royal Womens Hospital ❤️
Photography is my passion, I love that I am always surrounded by so much happiness and joy. I love anything creative, I also love my little hippy tribe Sean and our flower baby Frankie, collecting vinyl, road trips, gardening and digging through op shops, cooking yummy food and playing my guitar.
So what’s my style? I guess I am very organic and natural. I love those moments in between moments, the unplanned ones, the funny ones, the emotional ones; these are the moments that tell stories.
I am always amazed by the experience of taking part and capturing special moments in people’s lives. I also understand that often the best natural and candid moments are captured when people are feeling joyous or at ease and I strive to create such an environment, with natural results. I work hard during and after each photo shoot to ensure that your final images are inspiring and beautiful.
I am based in Melbourne however I am a born traveler, so hit me up if you need photos taken anywhere random. I have a very natural style to my lifestyle and wedding photography, I generally like to hang back and capture raw and real emotions, therefore I am not ‘in your face’ or posing excessively.
