Lara op shop adventure

Lara is a lovely little village, its nestled right at the base of the You Yangs and right next to Little River, its a cute little town worth visiting in between Werribee & Geelong.

There are 2 lovely op shops in Lara (that I know of) The Anglican Opportunity Shop which is connected to the Church is a lovely little op, jam packed with treasure, then a short drive is a Salvos, I found a lovely clock there and a rug.

Right across the road from The Anglican Opportunity Shop is one of the most kid friendly cafes I have seen in a long time! This cafe would totally allow you to have a peace free brunch 😃 Its called The Little Teapot Cafe, super friendly staff, loads for the kids to do, and an op shop right across the road, WINNING!

As if that’s not enough, also in Lara is the coolest ever wonderfully eccentric nursery called Roraima Nursery specialising in unusual, exotic, drought-tolerant and architectural plants, not only can you browse through their extensive range of plants, but there is a super amazing and random garden built onto the back of the nursery that you wander through, its a little bit like being in a Dr Seuss book. Its so worth a wander through their gardens, the kids LOVE it!

Also totally worth checking out is the You Yangs, get the kids running out in nature, build a fire, take some food to cook on it. This part of the world is truly unreal, make a day of it, and get ya op shop fix while you are at it!
