Turmeric paste, golden latte recipe

Turmeric-paste-golden-latte

 Golden lattes are wonderful, they are herbaceous & sweet and can be adapted to your own taste, plus I can not think of a better way to get turmeric into your toddlers so easily.

All the ingredients are fabulous for your immune system, it has potent
anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties.
The high antioxidant and anti-bacterial content in turmeric also means it is great for helping to reduce the symptoms of cold and flu.
Basically its perfect in every way.

Making this potion is very easy & can be done with your toddlers as a cute task.

Ingredients

* 1/2 cup turmeric
* 1/4 cup coconut oil
* 1 cup water
* 1 tablespoon of cinnamon
* 1 teaspoon of black pepper
* 1 teaspoon of grated fresh ginger
* 1 teaspoon of cloves, whole or ground

Method

Place the coconut oil in a saucepan and heat until melted, no need to overheat here. Once melted add in turmeric, cinnamon, pepper, cloves & ginger. Use a small whisk or stir fast with a spoon until smooth. Add the water & return to a low heat, stir until its think and remove from the heat - that’s it!

To make your latte, heat up your favorite kind of milk & add in as much of the paste as you fancy, I personally use a big teaspoon & add in honey to taste, often also a big teaspoon, stir until the paste & honey has melted into your milk & drink.

Store in an airtight jar in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

This is great for toddlers, I give Frankie (she’s 4) about 1/4 teaspoon of the paste in her milk.
