welcome to my blog, I hope you have a lovely time here.

Altona has some lovely little op shops, and the beach boardwalk there is also a wonderful spot to take a walk along, be it winter or summer. There is also a really cute playground on the foreshore! It is accessible by train, but if you drive, then you should also check out the massive warehouse style Vinnie’s which is a small drive from the village itself.
Second Gear in Altona is a lovely little true op shop, I always find treasure in there! And a short walk through the village is another really sweet true op shop St Eanswyth's Opportunity Shop - its not always open however so check hours below if you want to include this in your trip.
I highly recommend the Vinnie’s, Not only is it SUPER VINNIE'S, so huge, but its also the sorting hub for Melbourne stores and imports internationally! I was given a guided tour of the massive warehouse hanger out back where all the sorting happens! It was so amazing, so much rubbish is received in the drop off bins, the sorting is such a huge job! I was told that there are millions of shoes given to Vinnie's. Most of the time they are not pairs, but the single shoes that cannot be paired are sent off to countries with victims of land-mines who have lost a leg and require only one shoe, bought tears to my eyes!
She Hunts Hints
if you hit these ops on a Tuesday, there is a lovely market that takes place on the foreshore from 9am - 1pm. See all info on that HERE
